10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

Paul anticipates that the Christian life will be a battle. It is a battle against spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms and against the devil himself. But it is a battle which we have been empowered and equipped to fight. The devil may scheme against us, but if we use the spiritual resources God has provided to us, we will be able to take our stand.
Pray: Ask the Lord to give you strength today to stand in his mighty power against the temptations of the devil.
