April 26, 2017 – Ephesians 4:31-32

Reading: Ephesians 4:31-32

Questions for observation and application:

List the six things we are called to get rid of. Which of these are emotions and which are actions?

List the three things we are called to do.

What reason are we given to do the last one?

It is easy to want respond to those who have wronged us by hurting them back (even when in a Christian community!) but we are called to have a renewed mind patterned not after the world, but after God, who, while we were His enemies, forgave us.

Pray: Ask God to help you forgive those who have wronged you, and to respond to them with kindness and compassion, not anger and bitterness. Confess the times you have failed. Praise God that He forgave you while you were His enemy.
