April 18, 2017 – Ephesians 4:20-24

Reading: Ephesians 4:20-24

Questions for observation and application:

When were the believers taught about the new way of life?

What did they learn to put off?

What are they told to put on?

What needs to be renewed?

In contrast to those separated from the life of God whose minds are characterized by futility, darkening, and ignorance, believers are called to “be made new in the attitude of [their] minds.” This renewal of the mind (which includes faith and a personal knowledge of God) is the catalyst we need to put on the new self.

Pray: Ask God to renew your mind, to help you to grasp his “love that surpasses knowledge.”

What elements of the old self, with its corrupted and deceitful desires, do you need to put off?
