March 13, 2017 – Ephesians 1:6

Reading: Ephesians 1:3-14, focus on verse 6, 12, and 14

Questions for observation and application:

Note the phrase, “to the praise of…” in verses 6, 12, and 14. What is God doing that causes us to praise him?

What does he give to us, and how does he give it to us?

God’s glory – and our response of praise – is directly tied to what he has freely given us out of his grace and love. He “predestined us for adoption to sonship” (1:5). He chose according to his purpose (1:11). He marked us with the seal of the Holy Spirit (1:13). All of this brings God glory and calls us to respond with praise.

How can you live a life of praise? How can the praise of God be evident in your day?
